Vincent Lannoo

After studying at a performing arts high school, Vincent Lannoo graduated from the IAD (Broadcast Arts Institute), then threw himself headlong in a film-directing career. He first made a series of short films. His fourth effort, “J’adore le cinéma” (“I Love Movies” – 1998), won the grand prize at the Villeurbanne Festival, the Gold Iris and the Christal Star at the Brussels Festival, among others. It starred Olivier Gourmet and Gaëtan Bevernaege, amnd was selected at more than 40 festivals worldwide. His debut feature film, “Strass” (2001), made according to the ‘Dogma 95’ rules won several competitions at international festivals, including the grand prize at the Angers Film Festival, presided by actress Nathalie Baye. In 2004 he directed and exec-produced his second feature film, “Ordinary Man” (2004), a Belgian thriller. After developing different scripts with different production companies, he made his third feature film, “Vampires” (2009), a mockumentary about a family of vampires forced to exile from Belgium to Quebec.
